Sweaty Palms also known as Hyperhidrosis is a condition in which body experiences an increased sweating or perspiration which is more than what is required for regulation of body temperature.
Hyperhidrosis can affect the whole body or some specific parts like Feet, Hands, Armpits, and the groin. These parts are mostly affected due to high concentration of sweat by sweat glands.

In order to test a candidate for Sweaty Palms the Medical Officer asks the candidate to tightly close his fist and then he will put his one finger in your palm and will ask you to hold it tightly. He will try to free his finger and if he is successful in doing that easily then Problem starts for you, but if you are able to hold his finger then you don't have Hyperhidrosis. You can perform the similar test in your home to test whether you are free from Hyperhidrosis or not.CausesTwo glands apocrine and eccrine glands are responsible for sweat in our body. The Eccrine gland concentrated primarily in the palms of our hands and soles of our feet. It is believed that the over activity in the thoracic sympathetic ganglion chain, which is present in sympathetic nervous system causes Sweaty Palms.
Some additional factors causing Hyperhidrosis are due to a disorder of the pituitary or thyroid glands, diabetes mellitus, menopause, gout, tumors, mercury poisoning, or certain drugs.Impact
Hyperhidrosis can have strong emotional effect on individual's life also it can physiological effects such as dehydration, skin infections and cold and clammy hands.
Excessive Sweating creates problem in many daily life activities which mainly includes those activities which requires grasping an object tightly. Some sufferers avoid physical contacts with others such as handshake which leaves a psychological impact on their mind.Treatment
You can use Drysol which is aluminum chloride solution that can be put on to soles of your feet and on the Palms of hands. Drysol is an astringent that dries up the sweat.Other treatment includes injection of botulinum toxin into the affected areas.
Note - Sweating is a natural phenomenon and is necessary to control the body temperature however it take the shape of a problem when excessive sweat comes out from the body.
